Photo by @DrLoriUSFA from her visit with @FDNY following the fatal #BronxFire learning what can be done to prevent future tragedies. From the soot-covered hallway, you can see into the nearly pristine apartment adjacent to the apartment where the fire started. #CloseBeforeYouDoze

Are we still pretending Biden is a "uniter"
Biden denounces the Senate, calling it “a shell of its former self.”

Kids will push boundaries if they know there's no consequences.
Hundreds of kids walked out of Brooklyn Tech today to protest the continuation of in person school during the Omicron wave and to call for a remote option

I still can't believe NYC Mayor Eric Adams supports legislation allowing 800k non-citizens to vote next election. How does this better NYC?

See the way the windows aren't uniform? Usually means a bldg has duplex apartments. Duplex Apts create a whole unique set of fire tactic issues.
🇺🇸 — DEVELOPING: At least 10 injured in a now 5-Alarm Fire on the 3rd floor of a 19 story apartment building on E 181st St in the Bronx. There are reports of people jumping out of windows.

And the trend of media "mistakes" only going against one party continues.
It turns out Tom Cotton predicted correctly -- Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston bomber, did get a stimulus check. So we've adjusted the Pinocchio rating on this 2021 fact check. washingtonpost.com/politics/…
Please don't tell me a United States Justice is this ignorant.

@KathyHochul also said NY healthcare workers will be mandated to get boosters regardless if they have hybrid (vaccine + natural) immunity & with zero evidence of long term benefit. If you think the worker shortage was bad before, wait until you see what happens with this.

I don't understand what he means...
Biden: "No, I don't think COVID is here to stay, but having COVID in the environment here and in the world is probably here to stay."

I always thought about buying an electric vehicle at some point. Now watching hundreds stranded on I-95 in Virginia for almost 20 hours. You can always get gas delivered in a can for an emergency. What do you do if stuck in a car for almost a day if it's an EV @elonmusk

There's a reason we aren't hearing about ventilator shortages like we did with covid alpha strain.
There is no Omicron hospital “surge” in Florida People admitted for non-Covid reasons get tested If they test positive they get counted as a “COVID patient” The majority of the 5,400 “Covid patients”in #Florida are in the hospital for non-Covid reasons
My gym was closed for almost two years.
People who are overweight or obese are at a much higher risk of much more severe disease and even death from Covid-19 -- and one new study suggests that losing weight can reduce that risk. cnn.it/3JEiUYr

It’s not a matter of when you will be exposed to SARS-CoV-2, it’s a matter of if you get severe Covid-19 when you do. The best way to avoid that, is by getting vaccinated and losing weight.

At least one NYC school is closed tomorrow because staff is either sick with covid or awaiting test results. It's disgraceful 2 years into Covid children miss school because a teacher has the sniffles and covid tests are either scarce or results from testing are very delayed.

Every reporter in the White House is fully vaccinated. What type of message does this send to Americans? The Omicron strain is mostly a bad cold. Enough.
Just now @whca announces that, after an emergency board meeting, they unanimously voted to “temporarily” reduce the White House briefing room to just 14 seats in response to omicron.

I'm vaccinated but the dictionary definition classifies me as an anti-vaxxer. Makes sense.

Good question.
Cases per 100k for last 7 days (source: CDC) Florida: 1,186.4 New York City: 2,485.7 Florida has no mandates. NYC has the strictest mandates in the country. Journalists & experts -- what's going on?
