NPM has reverted to a previous version of the faker.js package and Github has suspended my access to all public and private projects. I have 100s of projects. #AaronSwartz

Wait, why? Don't you own your own repos on GitHub?

Ofc you don't, it's not your website or servers.

this whole thing would have been so much better if you hadn't involved a conspiracy theory into all of this imo

so are you able to continue receiving the sponsors via Github?

@github that's kinda rough. It would have been nice to at least clone his private repos into a dupe account and give him access to that instead of his main account. This just makes me think about setting up some kind of script do sync my repos on both GH and gitlab

also what was the exact violation? The fact that he had taken down his own project? How is that against @github TOS?

Suspended? What is wrong? What is they want you to do? It is your own project.

@marak I have no clue what's happening and won't until I have time for some YouTube video that I don't particularly want to watch... if there's a message here it's not super approachable. like, is this a "support open source developers" thing? a conspiracy theory? ... ???
