Solarpunk is an art movement that envisions how the future would look if we solved our contemporary challenges (climate change). Cyberpunk advocates for widespread use of cryptography/privacy. Cypherpunk is a futuristic sci-fi world with lowlife and high tech.

I'm into Solarpunk because its an alternative to doomerism. In a world with rising climate change, authoritarianism, misinformation, Solarpunk art gives me hope that we can solve these problems - and create a better world for our children's generation.

Ethereum is a schelling point for the hopeful. An immutable, programmable, global, substrate for finance & coordination. A campfire we can rally around, and together, that we can use to create a cyberpunk world AND a solarpunk world.

YES - the Ethereum network energy usage IS a problem. But only until the switch to proof of stake. Then Ethereum probably becomes carbon-negative; especially when you consider the carbon-offsetting work that could be built onto the network.

I am a degen, but I am also a regen. Someone who knows that Ethereum isnt just decentralized casinos. With NFTs, Quadratic Funding, Retro Public Goods Funding, and many other mechanisms -- We are building economic systems that could have positive externalities.

Together, we will conquer the Greatest LARP - the fight against Moloch - the god of coordination failure. We CAN use blockchains to fight Moloch. Quote me.
The Greatest LARP is our fight against Moloch. - Moloch is climate change. - Moloch is disinformation - Moloch is why we can't have nice things. At Liscon, @MoonshotCollect launched GreatestLARP.com , an experiment in meme-ing this fight into existence. How it works: 🧵

We can take the journey to the Quadratic Lands. A place where we've rewritten the laws of economic gravity to favor the public good. A solarpunk place by day, and a lunarpunk place by night.

All coordination is a choice. We can choose to build a more solarpunk future. We SHOULD choose to build a more solarpunk future.

Replying to @owocki
'web of life'? I know what is meant by 'circle of life' but it comes across as a closed in scope and the term was coined by Disney I believe.
