When the routers are done, it'll be something else that's equally stupid. Like maybe they should check all the lightbulbs. Or try and get passport scans of everyone who delivered pizzas during the count. It'll never end.

The point, of course, is not to find evidence of fraud. It's to collect donations, and to maybe have some more files you can convert to hexadecimal, scroll quickly behind you in a video, and use it to trick gullible pensioners into buying some more of your overpriced pillows.

Folks don't like to call it corruption because it's not directly illegal, but using the powers of elected office to do doomed things entirely unconnected with reality for the sole purpose of collecting partisan donations is no less corrupt than taking dufflebags of cash for votes
