Had kinda hoped that the Fall bump in Covid could at least have the decency to wait until Fall tbh

Congrats to all the dipshits who ruined Summer for everyone for the sake of their God-Given Constitutional right to lick lampposts as a defense against the government injecting moon landing pictures into people's arms or whatever fucking bullshit nonsense they've got up to by now

Hey, hey— my county is on this list of the most vax’ed in the nation + high case rates. I will have you know that my toddler had no choice about the matter: she’s simply too young to get vaccinated

The most vaccinated counties in the nation are experiencing a precipitous ⬆️ in cases— we need to #MaskUp to stop the spread of #DeltaVariant Color = CDC’s risk level (as of this time) Arrows = counties with > 90% of *eligible* persons having 1+ dose src: NYT, CDC cc @moskov

I have a *ton* of sympathy for those who can't get vaccinated (as someone who remembers acutely anxiously waiting in that position until very recently), especially those too young. But I'm so far out of sympathy for those who can and simply choose not to at this point tbh.

Ruined summer? Some of us have to send our kids to school in less than 2 weeks where the state legislature and the governor have banned mandatory masking in schools, and are trying to ban mandatory quarantines for infected children. We are closer to homicide than licking posts

My elementary age kid goes back on Monday, in TX where no one gives a shit at all. I was looking forward to being back in the office, but I have a strong suspicion that we'll be back home very soon.

The right to be an idiot was one of the worst rights we added to the constitution.

The US provided a Bill of Rights. The US (and/or it’s individual citizens) should consider a Bill of Responsibilities - what people owe to one another to show respect and responsibility.
