Not sure that’s entirely fair, given what’s written in that screenshot. I get the example you’re presenting, but I also think it’ll confuse a bunch of people.

I think folks conflating scanning of iCloud photos and iMessage is what's confusing. This is scanning of content that isn't E2E.

Yeah the two things announced together is confusing, but there is scanning of content received by < 13's on iMessage, and reported to the family plan owner ('parent') if classified as nude (/not/ CSAM NeuralMatch)

Oh also lots of iMessage content is backed up to iCloud by default, and is therefore CSAM-scanned by default. 👀
