Adding a bit around my philosophy on this... A lot of cybersecurity is stuck in antiquated thinking based on a physical world where we can't change the laws of physics. Cyberspace is the precise opposite of that where effectively everything is designed and malleable. Embrace it.
I agree with this but I also think it is a good reminder, as @dinodaizovi taught me many years ago, that we need to aim for technology that makes natural human activity safe rather than assuming individuals can always understand the complexity of the modern world

The focus on SBOM means that simple vulnerability scanning matching software to CVE can be surprisingly effective. In particular in a world where, and I can't stress this enough, no one ever updates anything unless pressed to.

Great move by OMB and the White House to deprecate code- and app-based authentication in favor of FIDO hardware-backed MFA
New: The White House wants to make its workers more resistant to phishing. Part of the plan is to encourage everyone to use hardware security keys for multi-factor authentication. vice.com/en/article/93yemz/w…

A strong sign that you are looking at a #Phishing attack includes seeing an urgent message that appeals to your emotions or involves money. Think before you click on links, especially if you don’t know the sender. Learn more: cisa.gov/cybersecurity-aware… #PhightThePhish #CyberMonth

The White House is stepping in the right direction transitioning to the use of security keys and leaving SMS and app-based #MFA behind. This is crucial towards an improved and more secure framework.

In an increasingly digital world, planning and coordinating across institutions is not a "nice-to-have" ... it _is_ the work ... thanks @CISAJen for the great work
Going along with today’s theme, federal defenders need your help! We work with @NSACyber, @FBI, and @CNMF_CyberAlert but we can only get so far when cyber criminals target our networks. It takes all of us – working together – to strengthen our collective defense. #CISACyberSummit
