I thought of you, & your son yesterday, Sandi. My aunt, also a feisty redhead, lost her youngest son last Friday. They had the "new normal" holiday yesterday, with the patriarch gone, which was nothing like normal. My mom has told me that we pay for love w/ grief. Hugs to you.

..."we pay for love with grief." Thank you for sharing that thought. It helped me as I read it this evening.
