That part in SE France that looks like a triangle… anybody got any ideas why it looks so different from the rest of France?
Interesting map of castle concentration in Europe:

I’ve heard Kent State referenced several times over the years but I’ve never heard about this.
Replying to @Sigmundine2
And 11 days later 12 students were wounded and 2 killed by police at Jackson State in Mississippi, and no one’s heard of it.

A few years ago I saw an interesting tweet about the history of the rule of law and its implications for governance. At the time I was thinking of writing a paper that was something along the lines of "The Rule of Law in the Next Generation of American Public Administration".

Recent events make me feel like I was somewhat prescient in terms of understanding "tensions on the horizon".

Based on some recent events, I'm guessing it's more likely than not that my kids' my school district might make it on Tucker.

I got to watch a bit of the Canada-Mexico game. Now I want to see a World Cup in northern latitudes in December. It would be a different game. I mean, Germany would probably win but the games would still play differently.

Two Moderna shots and then the Pfizer booster on Saturday. Significant reactions after the Moderna shots. Thus far, pretty much nothing doing in terms of side effects since Saturday. Also did nasal flu mist on Saturday. Anybody else experienced different side effect reactions?

Eric says he’s joking… but, it’s still thought provoking. My dad had draft #3. We’ve talked a lot about how life trajectories of individuals, partners, and kids can be influenced by military service. And, I’ve read several papers on the same.
What happened? Nixon ended the draft, that’s what. Then these attendees voted for Ronald Reagan.

Being one of the target demographics of this tweet, I was also reflecting on this yesterday as I was going through my Twitter feed
Just dropping by to point out that the people complaining about an alleged lack of conservatives in political science are overwhelmingly white men, and the people pointing out how wrong that assertion is are overwhelmingly not white men, and we need to take that seriously.

I feel like this is one of those graphics that would look drastically different if you looked at the top-1% as opposed to the top-10%.
Take a look at who actually emits the most carbon. And take a look at how much rich people in the US emit, compared to absolutely anyone else ft.com/content/4788beae-9035…

The wild thing about all the CRT outrage is: I thought y’all only cared about STEM and test scores? What happened? Narrator: We all knew what happened….

I think this is a thread worth pondering for those of us that use social media.
Events of the past few days have given me a lot of food for thought. I do don't fool myself for a moment that anyone pays attention to what I post, but for the handful that do, a brief summary:

I’ll say this, I think I teach middle school history about as hard & honest as any teacher in america. I’ve spent my entire career in PWI private schools. And when kids learn the truth about this country, they’re shocked and pissed off they’ve been lied to. Not uncomfortable.
