#HurricaneQuestions How can you predict the high wind speeds so far in advance from landfall, and why don't all models agree?

Well I’m heading to New Orleans on this coming Friday for a Joe organ Dave chapelle show. Kinda thinking that may not happen now.

#HurricaneQuestions In reference to millibars, what does this actually tell us? Assuming it will continue to drop as #Ida strengthens, how does this compare to Katrina?

Katrina was a cat 3 when it smashed the Mississippi gulf coast ida is apparently doing the same thing but becoming a high and powerful cat 4 when it hits the Louisiana/Mississippi coast line it is expected to stop for the night in the Gulf of Mexico as I am told from a airman

Does the size of the eye of a hurricane have any definitive factor on its strength?

Bigger the eye bigger the storm which has a play in wind and water can lower wind spend but add water surge tighter eye means higher winds less surge this storm is going to have a definite eye that is modicum to large which is carrying to have winds up to 200mph and water surge
